B. Winnie’s musical journey began in 2016 when she stumbled upon Garageband and, driven by curiosity, taught herself how to craft beats and write lyrics. This self-taught approach marked the beginning of a creative outlet that would become a cornerstone of her artistic expression. While studying film at Loyola University in New Orleans, her dual passion for music and filmmaking enriched her songwriting, infusing her work with intricate narratives and vivid visual imagery.
Her musical evolution continued as she joined the local New Orleans music group, UV Sound, a move that significantly shaped her sound. In October 2023, she released her debut album, War in My Mind, a deeply personal project that captures her artistic and emotional evolution. The album was recognized as a 2024 official selection for the New Orleans Public Library's Crescent City Sounds music library and has garnered positive reception across streaming platforms and live performances.
