“Wake up, wake up! Tomorrow isn’t promised. Gotta put the work in while you here.”

-Yung Abe

Yung Abe is an artist-producer extraordinaire. To elaborate, Yung Abe is not only a rap artist, but he is also a songwriter, mixing engineer, mastering engineer, and producer. This is what makes him extraordinary!

Yung Abe was born in Louisiana on January 5, 1996, and was raised by both parents in Mississippi to avoid the treachery of the New Orleans streets. Yung Abe was brought up in the church, which inspired and cultivated the beginnings of his love for music. Yung Abe was also influenced by some of the greatest artists of all time, like Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Lil Wayne. Yung Abe went from playing and recording music as a joke with his friends in junior high, to making music as a hobby in high school. And when the high school senior awards night closed with his music playing in the auditorium, the entire audience applaud, screaming, “ Yung Abe, Yung Abe, Yung Abe!!” And there was no doubt that there is greatness in Yung Abe too. Yung Abe didn’t stop at high school graduation in 2014. As Yung Abe grew, so did his talent. Consequently, Yung Abe has evolved to become a true composer and lyricist today.

Yung Abe has performed many times. But one of his performances in 2016 is vividly imprinted in his memory as one of his greatest and most life changing experiences. As Yung Abe reflected on his first performance with major celebrities, he described it as a dream coming to fruition, it was riveting, exciting, epic, and filled with explosive positive energy. “At that time, I was in a group called YNOT and we opened for Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg in California! The performance was in front of 10,000 people and live streamed across the nation.” Yung Abe was diligent and didn’t stop after achieving this major accomplishment. In 2017, during college, Yung Abe went into full creative mode and released his next project, “Dorm Room Life”.

As if opening up for Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa wasn’t life-changing enough, Yung Abe lost his best friend, Josh Lewis, to an untimely death in 2020. “He made me realize that life is too short and I have to get everything I want NOW. No more waiting was embedded in my mind.” Since his best friend’s passing, Yung Abe went back to the studio and simply decided to grind harder.

Yung Abe’s most popular songs, “Grudge” and “Really Gone” have both surpassed over 1 million streams on his most prominent platform SoundCloud. “I always loved music it helped me get through ups and downs. Putting my thoughts and feelings into music was always my scapegoat from the negativity that people brought in my life. At first, it was a hobby but I realized it was passion over the years cause I never stopped.” To fully commit to his creative process, Yung Abe purchased an RV to be able to be completely mobile and tour the world. He also opened his own studio in Mississippi. Yung Abe has mixed and mastered for Snoop Dog, Whop Beezy, OBN Jay, Monduhgoat, Soulja Boy,Kidd Kidd, and many other local artists.

His creative process consists of listening to Yeat to get hyped and motivated to wreck the booth. His producer and mentor throughout the years, Trackburna, often listens to his mixes, offering feedback and encouragement, which has been an intricate part of his growth and development.

His fans are filled with anticipation for the release of his next project “Beyond Me,” which will be released this spring of 2023. To continue to raise the bar, this year Yung Abe has also collaborated with Kidsilver and Hotsit from “Rap A Lot” Records. Teaming with producers like Black Mayo, Deyflo, Escobeats, Blanq Beats, Midwest Got It, and JWhateva has elevated Yung Abe’s sound, attracting a strong organic following. Keen on gaining maximin exposure Yung Abe is bringing a fresh, consistent sound that the industry didn’t know it was missing.
