Born and raised in the vibrant city of Dallas, Texas, Roman's music reflects a deep connection to his roots. Though he once found the creative scene in his hometown fragmented, he now revels in the unity and energy of the local music community in 2025. Over the years, he's forged meaningful connections that have not only influenced his artistry but also solidified his place in the evolving Dallas music landscape.
Roman’s love for music stems from an unlikely source—his high school AP English Literature class. What started as a passion for poetry evolved into crafting clever, rhythmic verses that showcase his skill as a lyricist. Inspired by his father and uncle, both of whom had their own music journeys, Roman was exposed to a diverse range of sounds from an early age. His father, who still supports him in the studio, introduced him to the penmanship of East Coast legends like Biggie, Nas, and Eminem, pushing Roman to refine his craft.
But Roman's sound isn’t confined to one genre. As a lover of variety, he draws inspiration from the high-energy world of EDM artists like The Prodigy and Tiësto, blending his influences into a style that’s unmistakably his own. Fans of Roman’s work know one thing for certain: his music is never predictable. Change is inevitable, and his artistry reflects that evolution.
In addition to his creativity, Roman has a knack for bringing people together. He coordinated his first event post-COVID in 2021, pulling in over 100 attendees. This past year in 2025 he threw his annual event The W.A.L.F show which stands for We Ain't Living Forever grew to 150 attends and he aims to double that in the year 2026. Roman's 2025 was highly impactful from being interviewed on 97.9 The Beat by radio host Spaceboi Fresh to playing at the Deep Ellum Block Party with over a 1,000 attendees. His singles "Groovy", "In N Out" & "WYA" has over 10k streams across streaming platforms combined
Roman’s fanbase, affectionately called Roman’s Empire, connects deeply with his ever-evolving sound. His Romanites know to expect the unexpected—whether it’s clever wordplay, experimental production, or a completely fresh perspective on the genre.
Be on the lookout for future new music, events, festivals and his newest addition Freestyle Friday's- In A City Near You! Where Roman Da'Fro and his brother Fatflicks who does videography goes across different cities in the state of Texas showcasing Roman's craftsmanship as hip hop artist freestyling in unique locations. He will incorporate different artist in these freestyles as well as dropping a new freestyle every week starting January 16th 2026.
