Wes Lee The Wordsmith is a recording artist, poet, and creative visionary bridging conscious hip-hop, spoken word, and soul-infused production. Born in Cleveland and shaped by Atlanta, Savannah, and Miami, Wes Lee brings a multidimensional perspective to his artistry, blending lived experience with intentional expression. His 2022–2023 project To Whom It May Benefit was considered for a GRAMMY® in the inaugural Best Spoken Word Poetry Album category, further cementing his place within the culture as both a lyricist and thought leader.



A member of the Recording Academy, Wes Lee has performed on stages including SOB’s (New York), SXSW, ATL Hip Hop Day, and Miami’s Goombay Festival. His catalog continues to grow, highlighted by his breakout record “Decatur,” which has surpassed 1 million streams on Spotify, alongside a growing body of work that resonates across platforms.


Continuing his artistic evolution, Wes Lee recently released “Grow With Me” featuring Mick Jenkins, a record rooted in legacy, reflection, and community. He also curated and headlined a standout live experience during Art Basel Miami Beach weekend through the Bonzeye Experience, attracting notable industry sponsors and reinforcing his presence as both a performer and cultural curator

If Hip-Hop has lost it's way, Wes Lee The Wordsmith has found it and provided positive direction. Anyone who appreciates good music and real lyricism will not be disappointed with his work. I haven't heard a bad song yet!

I lowkey lost faith in HipHop, but Weslee is one of them ones that has helped restore my faith. If you are a fan of REAL Hip Hop….look no further. Not only is Wes a gifted lyricist, he is an amazing performer. If you have had the pleasure of seeing him live you know the vibes! 🫶🏽
